Our Mission: To help people take next steps on their journey with Christ

At Oasis, our vision is to help people take "next steps" on their journey with Christ. We strive to live life in community (house churches) where we find deeper, meaningful relationships that help us grow in our faith by being centered on Jesus and the Word of God. We gather together on Sundays to give our kids an environment to learn about Jesus, sing together, take communion, be taught the Word of God, encourage each other, and hear stories of what God is doing in our various house churches.

Because we are changing and becoming more like Christ, our city is impacted in greater ways. Our goal is that Ormond Beach is a better place to live because of the people who live in it. We are becoming a people who are more committed to our marriages, who are investing in raising healthy children, who care about the needs of those around us, both in our friendships and our community, and are aware and engaged with the needs and issues facing humanity around the globe. The results are less about what we do, and more about who we are becoming. When we become the true Church that God intended, it will shape what we do and how we live our life.

We are a family of house churches united by a common mission

At Oasis Church, we live out the principles of Acts 2 (Found Here) in two ways: weekend worship gatherings and House Churches. We embrace a “both/and” approach, seeing the importance of both the large and small gatherings. Both serve an important purpose. One without the other will leave the believer incomplete and out of balance. Large group worship gatherings without involvement in a smaller setting makes it almost impossible to live out the word of God in community. Whereas, smaller gatherings without the involvement in the larger gathering will cause the believer to be disconnected from the body at large and void of spiritual, biblical authority.

Part of the way we emulate the teachings in Acts 2:42-47 (Found Here) is by living out community in groups that meet weekly in our homes, called House Churches. During the gathering you will share a meal, study scripture and engage in prayer and communion. This group serves as an intimate source of encouragement and accountability. House Churches are also outwardly focused and community driven, facilitating a local and global mission, meeting the needs of the group and church as a whole, and understanding the importance of multiplying.

Our house churches are spread throughout the community in East and West Ormond, Daytona, South Daytona, and Port Orange. For more information on House Churches, contact rachael@oasischurchfl.com
